RECREATION TO OLD CITY

Last holiday , I recreation to kota tua ( English : Old City )  at Jakarta. Old town is a historical tourism in Jakarta. Many old buiding that built at the time of the Netherlands that that we can find in the old town. In addition we can recreation with family and friends, we can also get many lessons about history Indonesia if we visit old town. Old town is visited by Indonesian tourists or foreign tourists.

 In the old town we can visit many historical places such as Fatahilla Museum, Museum of Bank Indonesia, Museum of Bank Mandiri , Puppet Museum, etc. In front of  Fatahilla Museum,  we could rent a old bike to tour around the museum fatahila. Many people spend their time for sitting in front of Fatahilla Museum. They take pictures or chat with their friends at old city.

In front of the Fatahilla Museum many vendors that sell egg crust. Egg crust (Indonesia : Kerak telor) is a Betawi traditional spicy omelette dish in Indonesian cuisine. It is made from glutinous rice cooked with egg and served with serundeng (fried shredded coconut), fried shallots and dried shrimp as topping. It is considered as a snack and not as a main dish.  I have not been eating the crust egg then Finally I bought crust egg to know it. I pay for Rp 20,000 for one portion of egg crust. After I wait  long time , finally my egg crust is cooked. When I ate my egg crust, I feel weird with the flavor. I feel flavor from duck egg very fishy  in my mouth but after that I like to eat my egg crust.

So , people that live in Jakarta please come to old town to enjoy recreation places that have sense of history for Indonesia so that we can still remember the services of our heroes to make Indonesia became an independent country.
